Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge

This is one of the Costa Rica's best places for bird and wildlife observation. Here you can see American Widgeon, Black-bellied Whistling-Duck, Blue-winged Teal, Green Backed Heron and many other rare birds. Also you can view endangered animals like jaguars, caymans, peccaries and monkeys. The climate is wet and hot, and toward the Caribbean the dry season is shorter and not entirely dry.
